From my window you can see an entire block of council flats which have boarded up windows. Unlike the rest of the borough, Hackney Council has replaced these broken windows with portraits of people from the local area. Surprisingly when I took these photos the surrounding flats were still lived in, however last week they had their windows removed ready for demolition. I'm sure these flats won't be missed.
